Stress affects all people and learning how to effectively manage stressors is a skill that most people need to acquire. Stress affects people in many different ways and can even affect the abilityto study and do well in classes. Health Education offers several hands-on techniques to combat stressors because not one thing works for every person. Students should keep in mind that even techniques used regularly can sometimes be ineffective due to distraction or level of stress. For this reason, it is a good idea for people to have a few different stress relief/reduction skills to rely on.
